If Alan has had got all the awards that he deserves, there would be a pile like this in his house.

I guess all the committees are so concerned that Alan would be buried in all the awards that they’ve decided to keep Alan away from any award. “Oh, that Alan Rickman is brilliant! We don’t want to bury him alive in all these awards that he absolutely deserves!”
